  • Patent number: 6732055
Abstract: Methods, systems, and processes are disclosed for determining emissions outputs. One method communicates with a communications network and acquires at least one of energy usage information associated with sources of emissions and emissions information associated with sources of emissions. The energy usage information and the emissions information is acquired as each occurs in real time. The method reports emissions outputs based upon the acquired real time information. Another method communicates with a communications network and acquires at least one of energy usage information associated with sources of emissions and emissions information associated with sources of emissions. This embodiment stores the acquired information as each occurs in real time. Emissions outputs are reported for the industrial process, the emissions outputs based upon the acquired real time information.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 6, 2001
Date of Patent: May 4, 2004
    Assignee: General Electric Company
Inventors: Srinivas Krishnasnamy Bagepalli, Lynn Ann DeRose, Stephen Lan-Sun Hung, Bang Mo Kim, Tara Healy Wight, Joseph James Salvo
  • Patent number: 6587754
Abstract: A steam-generation management system remotely measures amounts of utility used by steam-generating systems; monitors and compares their performance against benchmarked performance; analyzes and determines causes for variances in their performance; and recommends to the steam user actions for achieving optimum operation. The steam-generation management also permits remote access and interaction by the user and allows for integrating steam-related information into an overall strategy for managing steam and energy supply.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 19, 2001
Date of Patent: July 1, 2003
    Assignee: General Electric Company
Inventors: Stephen Lan-Sun Hung, Tara Healy Wight, Bang Mo Kim, Lynn Ann DeRose, Srinivas Krishnashamy Bagepalli, Jeffrey Lynn Schworm, Michael Edward Heeran
