Abstract: A method for performing an invitation triggered search by a query engine, involving receiving an invitation message associated with a project, wherein the query engine is a recipient of the invitation message, extracting at least one attribute from the invitation message, searching a plurality of sources to identify a plurality of resources associated with the at least one attribute, and sending a reply message including a display of the plurality of resources associated with the at least one attribute to a sender of the invitation message.

Abstract: A system for accounts payable management whereby vendor payment priority criteria are defined and data associated with one or more vendors and/or vendor invoices is obtained along with data indicating funds available to make vendor payments. The data: indicating vendor payment priority criteria, associated with one or more vendors and/or vendor invoices, and indicating funds available to make vendor payments is then analyzed and used to automatically generate a proposed vendor payment plan. The proposed vendor payment plan is then displayed to one or more users associated as part of a user interface display and the one or more users are provided the opportunity to edit and/or approve the proposed vendor payment plan. Once the proposed and/or edited vendor payment plan is approved, one or more payments are automatically made to one or more vendors in accordance with the approved vendor payment plan.

Abstract: A system for compensating an employee before a payroll period is complete is presented. During operation, the system receives a request from the employee to be compensated before a payroll period is complete for uncompensated work which has been already performed. The system then determines whether the employee can be compensated for such uncompensated work. If so, the system determines the value of the uncompensated performed work and compensates the employee for the uncompensated performed work. The system also records the fact that the employee was compensated for the uncompensated performed work.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system that stores a history trail for a search session to enable the history trail to be subsequently retrieved. During operation, the system assembles a history trail of pages which are visited during the search session. Next, the system stores the history trail in a repository which contains multiple history trails associated with multiple search sessions. This enables a user to subsequently retrieve the history trail from the repository to obtain information related to pages which were visited during the search session.
