  • Patent number: 7384325
Abstract: One example of a toy system includes a first body, at least one accessory having an activation feature, at least one mechanism adapted to alter the first body, and a first sensor adapted to sense the activation feature and to activate selectively the at least one mechanism when the activation feature is sensed. The body may include first and second body elements that are moveable relative to each other, a drive element, and a sensor mounted relative to the body and adapted to be activated by a user. The second body element may also have a characteristic that is changeable. A first mechanism may have a plurality of operative states, and a function may be controlled based on the operating state.

  • Patent number: 7115014
Abstract: A toy animal having a rigid body with movable legs, head and tail, is operated by internal gear mechanisms powered by a single, reversible, battery-powered motor operated in different directions. A hand controller is attached to the body to actuate the single motor in a selected direction to either move a plurality of legs to cause movement of the body while wagging the animal's tail, and to then cause the toy animal to urinate, or to move the head and actuate a tongue held in the head to lick a person holding the toy animal, or ingest fluid. The toy animal may also include a speaker and related circuitry that is actuated to cause the toy animal to make sounds, such as a bark, panting, a whimper and/or a tinkling sound at appropriate times.

  • Patent number: 6971128
Abstract: A pillow case or cover converts from a first size to accommodate a pillow with a longer length, such as a king-sized pillow, to a second size to accommodate a pillow with a shorter length, such as a queen-sized pillow. In the larger pillow configuration, a flap adjacent to the open end of the case holds one end of the pillow and a fastener on the flap, such as a button, mates with a hole through the front face of the cover. In a smaller pillow configuration, the flap and a portion of the front and rear faces of the pillow cover are folded and inserted into the interior of the cover, and a different fastener on the rear face of the cover, such as a button, engages a mating fastener, such as a loop, that is appended to the front face of the pillow cover to secure the open end and encase the shortened cover over the smaller pillow. The pillow case or cover may be reversibly converted from the first configuration to the second configuration and back again.
