  • Publication number: 20220175980
Abstract: A device and process to inactivate viruses and kill living bacteria using the available techniques like UV irradiation, heat, filtration, and/or chemical treatment, individually or all at once to achieve the best results. The operation of the invention could be programmed/controlled using a remote controller/programmer. The invention could be used in spaces occupied by humans or when humans are not present. When humans are not present it uses mainly UV irradiation, and when humans are present it circulates the air to be disinfected through a protective enclosure. In some applications using UV disinfection, the device can circulate and disinfect the air inside it, while irradiating the UV irradiations to other parts of the space to disinfect them. One embodiment of the device is similar to a mask, not just to collect the viruses and bacteria, but also, to inactivate the viruses and kill the bacteria.

  • Patent number: 9056272
Abstract: A system and method for continuously separating different isotopes of a particular element, such as Uranium, Zirconium, or Hydrogen, in an electrolytic medium. The ions of the isotopes to be separated are moved in the electrolytic medium using electric field. As the lighter ions will move faster than the heavier ions, the separation will happen and the lighter ions will be ahead of the heavier ions by a separation distance. To improve the separation, other forces (either proportional to the mass or not) are generated on the ions in directions that add additional separation factors. These forces could be centrifugal, electromagnetic, resistive dragging, mechanical (flow), etc. The invented separation process and device is simple and less expensive than other comparable devices, providing outstanding separation at low cost, and could be built using the already available materials and technologies that exist in any country in the world.

  • Publication number: 20080127711
Abstract: This invention is device and method for electronic measurements of the force and torque applied to a work piece. The measured values are visually displayed, audibly indicated, and/or transferred in electronic formats to other controlling devices. The values could be displayed in different physical measuring units, and as an average or peak. The device produces different output signals when the torque applied equals or exceeds predetermined values. This device and method provide an automatic, accurate, and easy calibration, which could be self-calibration or in-the-field calibration. It has protection from accidental activation of the switches, and provides a permanent record of the incidents in which the device was operated at conditions beyond its specifications. It provides a manual and/or automatic scale selection to improve the accuracy.
