An indication of a first type of role-based relationship between the first user and the second user is stored. A database storing a plurality of elements is queried, the querying including selecting, from the plurality of elements, a subset of elements that are associated with the first type of role-based relationship. The subset of elements are provided to a first client device associated with the first user, at least one of the subset of elements being for display in a graphical user interface of the first client device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for enabling a virtual lobby. In some implementations, a server receives a request from a first client device to enter a function of a virtual lobby. The server generates a pre-selected number of users to include in the function of the virtual lobby based on a plurality of client devices that opted into the function. The server provides data to each of the pre-selected number of users to indicate an acceptance into the function. The server generates a first communication channel between the first client device and a second client device, wherein the communication channel ensures other users cannot access communications between the first and the second client device. In response to closing the first communication channel, the server generates a second communication channel between the first and the second client device outside the virtual lobby.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for cooperative decision making in a social network include identifying a potential match between a first individual and a second individual based on interests of the first individual, receiving, from a first client device associated with the first individual, a request for input regarding the potential match, and, in response to the request, identifying other individuals for providing input to the first individual regarding the potential match, supplying profile information for the second individual to client devices associated with the first individual and the other individuals, enabling network communication between the first individual and the other individuals for providing the input to the first individual regarding the potential match, and receiving a vote to connect the first individual with the second individual from the first client device or at least one of the other client devices.
