Abstract: A confocal imaging apparatus includes: a light source configured to generate illumination light; a multi-pinhole plate being arranged at a position conjugate to the sample and having a plurality of pinholes; a drive mechanism configured to rotate the multi-pinhole plate; an objective lens configured to focus the illumination light from the multi-pinhole plate onto the sample and on which signal light from the sample is incident; a tube lens arranged between the objective lens and the multi-pinhole plate and configured to focus the signal light from the sample onto the multi-pinhole plate; a beam splitter configured to cause the signal light having passed through the pinholes to branch from the illumination light; a telecentric lens on which the signal light is incident; and an image sensor device configured to detect the signal light from the telecentric lens and to capture an image of the sample.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device comprises a first drive substrate comprising a first base having a first end portion, a plurality of first pixel electrodes, and a first drive circuit, a second drive substrate comprising a second base having a second end portion, a plurality of second pixel electrodes, and a second drive circuit, and a counter-substrate comprising a support base and an electrophoretic layer. The first end portion and the second end portion are in contact with each other to form a contact portion. The electrophoretic layer overlaps the plurality of first pixel electrodes, the first drive circuit, the contact portion, the second drive circuit, and the plurality of second pixel electrodes.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display, a touchpanel, a memory and a processor. The display displays a shelf label image including a product information item of a product displayed on a display shelf. The touchpanel in or on the display detects a contact position of an object. The processor executes a program stored in the memory, makes a state of the touchpanel from an inactive state to an active state when an external terminal is connected to the display device, detects a type of an action, based on the contact position of the object detected by the touchpanel in the active state, changes the shelf label image displayed on the display in accordance with the type of the action.

The display device includes a display panel, a controller, a battery, and a power supply circuit. The controller is configured to control the display panel so as to display product data related to a product. The battery is configured to store electric power operating the display device. The power supply circuit is configured to supply electric power to the battery. The electric power is obtained by the communication with the external device.
