    Abstract: A camera includes: an image-capturing unit that captures an image of a photographic subject created by a photographic lens, creates an image to be recorded when a release start command is issued, and creates a through image for composition confirmation before starting of the release; a body in which the image-capturing unit is disposed; a tilt angle detection unit that detects the tilt angle of the body about the optical axis of the photographic lens; a composite image creation unit that creates and outputs a composite image for display for displaying the through image and the image to be recorded in a single screen; and a display unit that displays the composite image for display. The composite image creation unit creates the composite image for display so that the photographic subject that appears in the image to be recorded is displayed upon the display unit as being approximately erect.
