    Abstract: A method of automatically switching a head-wearable device from a display state to a displayless state in accordance with a determination that a display suppression condition is present is described. The method includes, while the head-wearable device is in a display state: (i) obtaining a first instruction, (ii) causing the head-wearable device to present a first response, based on the first instruction, at a display of the head-wearable device, and (iii) in accordance with a determination that a display suppression condition is present, causing the head-wearable device to enter a displayless state. The method further includes, while the head-wearable device is in the displayless state: (i) obtaining a second instruction, (ii) causing the head-wearable device to present a second response, based on the second instruction, at a speaker of the head-wearable device, and (iii) in response to a wake command, causing the head-wearable device to enter the display state.
