  • Patent number: 10692180
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a memory and circuitry. The circuitry is configured to calculate a pixel scale factor for each of pixel positions in a main scanning direction of an input image for a line based on a magnification. The circuitry is configured to store, in the memory, the pixel scale factors calculated for the line in order of pixel position. The circuitry is configured to read, in parallel, N-number of pixel scale factors of the pixel scale factors for the line in order of pixel position from the memory, in synchronization with parallel reading of N-number of pixels in the main scanning direction from the input image, where N represents an integer not smaller than 2. The circuitry is configured to multiply, in parallel, the N-number of pixels read from the input image by the respective N-number of pixel scale factors read from the memory.

  • Patent number: 10638014
Abstract: An information output system includes a main memory, a first processing circuit, a second processing circuit, an output device, and notifying circuitry. The main memory is configured to store information. The first processing circuit is configured to read the information from the main memory. The second processing circuit is configured to transfer the information read. The output device is configured to output the information transferred. The notifying circuitry is configured to notify the second processing circuit of an activation timing of the first processing circuit. The second processing circuit is configured to start to transfer the information after being notified of the activation timing of the first processing circuit or request the first processing circuit to cancel reading of the information, according to a time by which the activation timing notified is delayed from an activation timing of the second processing circuit.

  • Patent number: 9684477
Abstract: According to an aspect of the invention, an image processing device includes a storage that stores character information, which is information affecting legibility of a character, on a character-by-character basis, and circuitry configured to determine a toner saving ratio for each character contained in a to-be-printed image so that legibility of the character achieves a preset target value at the determined toner saving ratio by assessing the legibility of the character based on the character information.

  • Publication number: 20170064151
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a visibility value calculator and a color converter. The visibility value calculator is configured to calculate a value for visibility indicating a degree of easiness in viewing when document image data is output, based on a color of the document image data and a color of background image data which becomes a background when the document image data is output. The color converter is configured to convert, when the visibility value is less than a predetermined visibility tolerance, the color of the document image data so that the visibility value becomes not less than the tolerance.

  • Publication number: 20120182582
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a buffer-full notification unit that gives a notification that a predetermined amount of image data is stored in a first buffer, a second buffer that is connected to the first buffer through a bus and temporarily stores image data read from the first buffer, an image forming member that forms an image on a medium on the basis of image data stored in the second buffer, and a read control unit that acquires image data stored in the first buffer through the bus and stores acquired image data in the second buffer, when a read command to read image data stored in the first buffer to store the read image data in the second buffer is generated and the notification is given from the buffer-full notification unit.
