  • Patent number: 11887091
Abstract: Provided is a money handling apparatus that can be easily introduced in a store. The money handling system includes: a money handling apparatus installed in a store and capable of executing basic functions including a checkout function; and a operation terminal connected to the money handling apparatus. When executing the checkout function, the money handling apparatus receives, through the operation terminal, an input of prices and quantities of items a customer purchases in the store, to calculate a transaction amount. The apparatus recognizes and counts money, which is deposited through an inlet for paying the transaction amount, to calculate a deposit amount of deposited money, and stores the deposited money inside the money handling apparatus. When the deposit amount exceeds the transaction amount, the money handling apparatus feeds out money corresponding to a difference therebetween, and dispenses the fed out money as change to an outlet.

  • Patent number: 8430729
Abstract: The present invention provides a coin handling machine the handling efficiency of which can be improved. On an operation unit 14, either a normal counting mode or a continuous counting mode is selected. Coins are counted by a count processing unit. A count abnormality in the count processing unit is detected by an abnormality detecting unit 68. In a case where a count abnormality is detected by the abnormality detecting unit 68 during count processing, when the normal counting mode is selected, a coin count value is cleared and a quantity error is prevented. In the case where a count abnormality is detected by the abnormality detecting unit 68 during count processing, when the continuous counting mode is selected, the coin count value is held, so that continuous processing is performed even if a count error occurs, so that the handling efficiency is improved.

  • Publication number: 20020162724
Abstract: A coin sorting apparatus (S) has a presorting unit (A) and two main sorting units (B1, B2). The presorting unit (A) sorts mixed coins into three groups (large coin group, medium coin group, small coin group). The main sorting units (B1, B2) sort by denomination coins of the two groups (medium coin group, small coin group) among the three groups of coins broadly sorted by the presorting unit (A). Thus, the number of denominations to be dealt with by a single sorting operation can be reduced.
