  • Patent number: 8580069
Abstract: To provide a method of bonding two materials directly with each other, at least one of which is made of a plastic material, which method is applicable to bonding two materials, with no need to use any bonding agent and without allowing the materials to be exposed to high temperature and/or high pressures. In this method in which a first member made of a plastic material and a second member are bonded together, one surface of the first member to be bonded with the second member is irradiated with energy rays having a quantity of energies not lower than 4 eV, followed by directly bonding the first and second members together without any bonding agent being used.

  • Patent number: 7952802
Abstract: Disclosed is an optical device which can be formed as a thinner layer by a simplified manufacturing process at a reduced cost. Specifically, the optical device has a multilayer structure wherein a polyvinyl alcohol- or polyvinylene-base polarizing film (b) and protective films (a and c) are directly laminated on top of another without any adhesive layer including a pressure sensitive adhesive layer interposed therebetween. The protective film (c) on one side is composed of a triacetyl cellulose, an alicyclic polyolefin resin, or an alicyclic acrylic resin, and the protective film (a) on the other side is composed of a triacetyl cellulose, a polycarbonate, a polyethylene terephthalate, a polyethylene naphthalate, a (meth)acrylate resin, an alicyclic polyolefin resin, or an alicyclic acrylic resin.

  • Publication number: 20090118450
Abstract: Problems: To easily and efficiently obtain a high quality (meth)acrylate-based polymer containing small residual amount of metal components (an aluminum component, an alkali metal component and other metal components) and having high purity and excellent properties such as heat resistance, transparency and others. Means for Solving the Problems: The present invention provides a method of obtaining a (meth)acrylate-based polymer by adding an acid to a reaction solution containing the (meth)acrylate-based polymer obtained by polymerizing a (meth)acrylate-based monomer in a water-insoluble organic solvent in the presence of a metal compound such as a metal-containing polymerization initiator, an organoaluminum compound and the like, washing the reaction solution to which the acid has been added by admixing water at 90° C.

  • Publication number: 20080139759
Abstract: A continuous production process, which can allow polymerization to proceed at a milder polymerization temperature and a higher polymerization speed as compared with the conventional method while maintaining a high level of living properties and can produce an (meth)acrylic ester (co)polymer having a narrow molecular weight distribution in a high yield with good productivity. The continuous production process for producing an (meth)acrylic ester (co)polymer comprises the step of continuously feeding an organoaluminum compound-containing polymerization initiator solution and an (meth)acrylic ester into a reactor to continuously obtain a living polymer-containing polymer reaction liquid.
