    Abstract: Provided is a system which can induce the degradation of a protein of interest in a mammalian cell system reliably and stably within a short time. A mammalian cell inducible for protein degradation, the degradation of a protein of interest being induced by an auxin, in which the mammalian cell has both a TIR1 family protein gene from rice and a chimeric gene expressing a protein of interest labeled with a plant Aux/IAA family protein.
