  • Patent number: 10082446
Abstract: Provided is a tire testing apparatus capable of accurately and easily measuring a load which a tire receives from a road surface. The tire testing apparatus includes a plate buried in a road surface with which a tire is in contact, at least one ground-contact-force sensor measuring a ground-contact force during a contact of the tire, and at least one plate sensor measuring a load applied to the plate. According to the tire testing device, a ground-contact force of the tire can be measured by the ground-contact-force sensor and a load which the tire applies to the plate can be measured by the plate sensor.

  • Patent number: 9417142
Abstract: A low-cost, compact, high-precision axial force sensor is provided. The axial force sensor includes a pair of parallel pressing plates and a strain gauge sandwiched therebetween. The strain gauge includes a plurality of strain-sensitive resistive elements around its periphery, and is provided with a spacer that transmits a pressing force from the pressing plates to some of the strain-sensitive elements but blocks the pressing force to the rest of the strain-sensitive elements. The output signal of the strain-sensitive elements blocked from the pressing force provide an accurate baseline to compare the output signal of the strain-elements subjected to the pressing force. The spacer has a uniform pattern of open and closed portions. On the strain gauge, the strain-sensitive elements are provided at both the open and closed portions of the spacer.

  • Publication number: 20150128725
Abstract: [Object] To provide a low-cost, compact, high-precision axial force sensor. [Solution] The axial force sensor is configured including a pair of pressing plates (12) and a strain gauge (14) arranged in parallel, and sandwiching the strain gauge (14) with the pair of pressing plates (14). The strain gauge (14) includes a plurality of sensitive elements consisting of resistors, and is provided with a spacer (16) that transmits a pressing force from the pair of pressing plates (12) to at least one of the plurality of sensitive elements and blocks the pressing force with respect to the rest of the sensitive elements. The spacer (16) is formed in a ring shape, and has a plurality of opening portions formed at constant angular intervals. On the strain gauge, the sensitive elements are provided at the positions of the opening portions and positions therebetween.

  • Patent number: 8387450
Abstract: A chassis dynamometer for a vehicle has a base seat, a fixed shaft having one end thereof attached to the base seat, a rotary proximal portion rotatably supported to the fixed shaft, a roller connected to the rotary proximal portion, for loading a wheel of a vehicle, and a motor connected to the roller so that power can be transmitted therebetween. The roller has a single flange portion connected to the rotary proximal portion and extending obliquely to the axis, and an outer peripheral portion extending both axial directions from an outer periphery of the flange portion and disposed outward in the radial direction of the motor.
