  • Patent number: 5003423
Abstract: A vertical recording magnetic head is disposed for movement close to or into sliding contact with a vertical recorded magnetic medium for purpose of magnetic recording and playback. To prevent the influences of external magnetic field upon a recording or reproduced magnetic field, a main magnetic pole of the head is surrounded by a block of a magnetizable material which exhibits a high permeability, which serves as a magnetic shield.

  • Patent number: 4998175
Abstract: A transducer-to-medium stabilizer assembled with a transducer in a recording and/or reproducing apparatus is disposed in an opposing relationship with a flexible storage disk which is used as an information recording medium. The stabilizer comprises first and second block members which protrude from a base block member and a static pressure releasing arrangement on said stabilizer device. When the flexible storage disk is rotated at a high speed with respect to the stabilizer device, a negative pressure is formed between the stabilizer device and the disk, resulting in that the transducer is maintained in a constant and stable contact relationship with the disk.

  • Patent number: 4764833
Abstract: A perpendicular magnetic head for magnetizing a magnetic recording medium in the direction of thickness thereof comprises a main pole film of a magnetically soft material having a high magnetic permeability which is held sandwiched between a first and a second joined block, each formed of a non-magnetic material. A multi-layer film comprising alternate layers of a magnetically soft material having a high permeability and a non-magnetic material is disposed on at least one of the blocks in abutting relationship with the main pole film at a given distance spaced from an area of the main pole film which is disposed in sliding contact with a magnetic recording medium.

  • Patent number: 4703380
Abstract: A perpendicular magnetic head includes a main pole suitable for use exclusively in recording information signals which is made of a soft magnetic film having the high saturation magnetization and another main pole suitable for use exclusively in reproducing recorded signals which is made of a soft magnetic film having the high initial permeability, both being disposed at separate positions.

  • Patent number: 4642711
Abstract: A helical scanning type video tape recorder includes a rotary cylinder which is slidable on a video tape; and a pair of vertical magnetization recording heads mounted on the peripheral wall of the rotary cylinder at prescribed positions. The plane of the vertical magnetization recording heads which faces the magnetic plane of the video tape is provided with a main magnetic pole and auxiliary magnetic pole, thereby causing at least one portion of the recording magnetic flux passing from the auxiliary magnetic pole to the main magnetic pole to penetrate the recording magnetic layer of the video tape at substantially right angles.

  • Patent number: 4436600
Abstract: An anode for copper electrolysis is given improved dissolving activity and enhanced ability to curb the phenomenon of passivation by a cooling treatment which is carried out at a cooling speed of from 20.degree. C./hour to 400.degree. C./hour to at least 400.degree. C., preferably to 200.degree. C.
