  • Publication number: 20070183771
Abstract: There is disclosed an imaging apparatus including an image pickup device, a dust proof member provided in front of the image pickup device, and a fluid pump having a piezoelectric element as a drive source to generate a flow of air toward the front surface of the dust proof member. The flow of air is used to remove dust adhering on the surface of the dust proof member. For example, the dust proof member can be configured as a low-pass filter or a transparent glass member arranged on an imaging optical path.

  • Patent number: 7221868
Abstract: In a camera according to the present invention, an edge portion of a lens barrel unit is projected and arranged from a front cover. The lens barrel unit is covered with a front cover cylindrical member connected to the front cover, and a front exposed portion of the front cover cylindrical member is covered with an exterior cylindrical member as a detachable (before-attaching) metal cylindrical member. The exterior cylindrical member is positioned and is fixed by an stop claw on the front-cover side. A C-shaped stop portion cover having flexibility is made flexible and is attached around the stop claw portion, and is fixed by a screw. The restriction on design is reduced on the appearance for covering the lens barrel unit of the camera, and a camera exterior portion can be made of metal.

  • Patent number: 7025513
Abstract: A shutter/filter unit as an optical apparatus includes a shutter actuator, a filter actuator, a shutter drive ring, two shutter blades, and one ND filter, which are connected to a driving source body in series. The shutter blades are rotationally driven via the shutter drive ring so as to open and shut by the shutter actuator, and the ND filter is back and forth and rotationally driven by the filter actuator directly. The shutter blades and the ND filter are coaxially supported to a blade-support pin, and are rotationally driven independently. According to this apparatus, a conventional optical apparatus having a light-exclusion member and a light-attenuating member housed therein is further miniaturized so as to contribute miniaturization to an image-pickup apparatus, such as a camera, having the optical apparatus mounted thereon.

  • Publication number: 20060055812
Abstract: In optical equipment, an image pickup element is not electrically connected directly to a hard electric board, but is electrically connected thereto via a flexible printed circuit. Since the image pickup element and the hard electric board are electrically connected via the flexible printed circuit, thermal effect of soldering or effect of deformation of the hard board can be alleviated. Since the flexible printed circuit has flexibility, the image pickup element can easily be positioned at an accurate position at the time of assembly. Also, it can hardly be affected by aged deformation.

  • Patent number: 6966709
Abstract: A camera having a lens barrier movable between an open and a closed position, a lens movable between a photographing position and a non-photographing position and a locking member which, when driven by movement of the lens barrel to the photography position, enters into an opening in the barrier if an attempt is made to move the barrier from the open position towards the closed position. A pressing spring returns the locking member to the withdrawn position when the lens barrel is moved to the non-photographing position. An elastic pressing plate is preferably used to drive the locking member to the projected position against the force of the pressing spring when the lens is moved towards the photographing position.

  • Patent number: 6825991
Abstract: A lens barrel incorporating a lens driving device is provided which includes a fixed frame, a cam ring inserted into the fixed frame in freely rotatable fashion, first and free forward and backward motion, and an aperture ring supported by the first group lens frame in a freely rotatable manner. In the cam ring, there are provided a diagonal cam groove which drives the first and second group lens frames to zoom positions in stages, circumferential-direction cam grooves which hold each zoom position, and aperture cam grooves which drive the aperture ring. In a state in which the first and second group lens frames are positioned and fixed at respective zoom positions, the cam ring can be rotated to rotate the aperture ring, thereby setting the aperture value of the pickup lenses.

  • Patent number: 6778335
Abstract: A lens barrel is provided which includes a stationary frame and a second holding frame. One end of a second main rod is attached to the second holding frame with a sleeve between. One end of the second sub rod is fixed to the second holding frame, and the other ends of the second main rod and second sub rod are attached to the stationary frame so that the second main rod and second sub rod can freely slide. Consequently, the second holding frame is borne while being permitted to freely advance or withdraw relative to the stationary frame without rotating by the main rod and second sub rod. The main rod is fixed to neither the stationary frame nor lens holding frame but can slide by itself. Therefore, even when the lens barrel is collapsed, the main rod will not jut backward beyond the stationary frame.

  • Patent number: 6768599
Abstract: A body of a lens frame, which is a lens barrel of the present invention, consists of an inner frame for holding a lens, an intermediate frame in which an adjusting screw is screwed, and an outer frame in which an adjusting screw is screwed. The frames are connected to one another by parallel springs. In the case of this lens frame, the inner frame is displaced in the direction of X-axis or a horizontal axis by screwing the adjusting screw thereinto in the direction of the horizontal axis and screwing another adjusting screw thereinto by the direction of a vertical axis. Thus, the inner frame is displaced in Y-direction through the intermediate frames. Consequently, the translation of the position of the optical axis of the lens is performed without inclination of the intermediate frame. Hence, the adjustment of the position of the optical axis is easily achieved. Moreover, this lens frame achieves a reduction in the cost of components thereof.
