Abstract: There is provided an information processing device including a photographed-image acquisition section that acquires a photographed image taken by a camera mounted on a head-mount display, and a photographing parameter that is adjusted according to a brightness with use of the camera, and a play area control section that detects a play area for defining a movable range of a user by analyzing the photographed image while changing an analysis condition according to an estimated brightness on the basis of the photographing parameter, and then, acquiring 3D information regarding a real object.

Abstract: Provided is an information processing device including a captured image acquisition section that acquires data of frames of a currently captured moving image, a crop section that cuts out an image of a specific region from each of the frames arranged in chronological order, and an image analysis section that analyzes the image of the specific region to acquire predetermined information. The crop section moves a cut-out target region in accordance with predetermined rules with respect to a time axis.

Abstract: Multiple imaging apparatuses 12a and 12b are arranged to capture images of a space in which an HMD 18 is found. The images captured by the imaging apparatuses are analyzed individually to acquire position and posture information regarding the HMD 18 in each of camera coordinate systems of the apparatuses. The position and posture information is aggregated to one information processing apparatus and transformed thereby into information in a world coordinate system independent of the imaging apparatuses. Relative relations between the positions and postures of the imaging apparatuses are acquired by making use of a period during which the HMD 18 is in a region 186 where the fields of view of the imaging apparatuses overlap with each other. The relative relations are used as the basis for acquiring parameters for transforming coordinates between the imaging apparatuses.

Abstract: In an information processing apparatus, a posture data acquiring section acquires output values from a motion sensor of a head-mounted display. Effective rates of acceleration are then obtained by correcting the output values based on correction formulas. A posture is calculated in reference to the axes of the motion sensor based on the acquired rates of acceleration. Thereafter, the posture of the head-mounted display is calculated by performing rotation correction based on previously acquired angle errors, the calculated posture being output to an information processing section. A correction data updating section acquires posture information based on markers of the head-mounted display imaged in a captured image, and updates correction data for use in acquiring the posture from the sensor output values through comparison with the marker-based posture information.
