Publication number: 20220299351Abstract: Provided are a measuring mechanism for measuring a predetermined fixed amount or an arbitrary amount of a liquid composition and discharging it, and a quantitative dispensing container and a quantitative applicator including such a mechanism. A measuring mechanism is provided that includes a base and a head defining a measurement space between the base and itself, the base and the head configured to be capable of changing the volume of the measurement space in response to a predetermined operation of the head including a measurement operation for increasing the volume of the measurement space and a discharge operation for reducing the volume of the measurement space. The base includes a first passageway for allowing the composition to flow from the outside into the measurement space, and a first check valve located on the first passageway. The first check valve of the base increases its sealability if there is a positive pressure in the measurement space.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 7, 2020Publication date: September 22, 2022Inventors: Tomohiro Kurosawa, Yukihiro Ogawa, Tatsuro Nagao, Hiroshi Iseki, Keisuke Kinoshita, Yuki Nishihara, Takashi Ishimaru

Publication number: 20210178135Abstract: An applicator and applicator system are provided for a topically or transdermally applying a pharmaceutical preparation or formulation. The applicator and applicator system can reduce drip during use, provide efficient transfer of a dose of the pharmaceutical preparation or formulation from the applicator to the skin of a patient, and can be used hands-free, which can reduce, prevent or eliminate cross-contamination to other areas, including undesired application to other parts of the skin or to other individuals. The applicator and applicator system include a therapeutic surface which can receive a single dose of the pharmaceutical preparation and can be manipulated by the user to transfer and apply the pharmaceutical preparation on a body surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 10, 2019Publication date: June 17, 2021Applicant: Brickell Biotech, Inc.Inventors: Herbert Brinkman, John Koleng, Aron Aizenstat, Andrew Sklawer, Tatsuro Nagao, Masayoshi Takaoka

Publication number: 20090239465Abstract: A doorphone system includes a relay station. A doorphone master station and a relay station are wirelessly connected, and the relay station and the cordless extension master station are wirelessly connected. A wireless communication link between the doorphone master station and the cordless extension master station is established via the relay station. Namely, all of the wireless communication between the doorphone master station and the cordless extension master station is executed via the relay station. The above doorphone system can effectively enlarge the communicatable range between the doorphone master station and the cordless extension master station. By using a cordless phone instead of the relay station, a system formed by combining the doorphone system and the cordless phone can be easily formed.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 17, 2008Publication date: September 24, 2009Applicants: PIONEER CORPORATION, PIONEER COMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION, AIPHONE CO., LTD.Inventors: Tatsuro NAGAO, Minoru Fujita, Hideaki Miyoshi

Patent number: 5896352Abstract: A mini disc (MD) player has the capability of displaying data without problems during playback. When plural mini discs should be played back consecutively, TOC (table of contents) data are read from all of these discs. Then, the discs are played back in succession. When compressed audio data derived from these discs are stored in a DRAM, a disc identification flag is added to every disc.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 1997Date of Patent: April 20, 1999Assignee: Pioneer Electronic CorporationInventors: Yoshihiko Takenaka, Tatsuro Nagao

Patent number: 5187734Abstract: A telephone answering attachment to a highfidelity music system. An adaptor switches audio signals between a telephone circuit, a double-deck recorder and an amplifier. A bell signal on the telphone circuit causes one deck to play a back a prerecorded message onto the telephone circuit and causes the other deck to then record the caller's message. A short notification message is displayed on a television screen. Otherwise, the adaptor leaves the double-deck recorder in its usual configuration.Type: GrantFiled: May 2, 1989Date of Patent: February 16, 1993Assignee: Pioneer Electronic CorporationInventors: Tokihiro Takahashi, Takayuki Sato, Masuo Ota, Tatsuro Nagao

Patent number: 4890171Abstract: A high speed information retrieval apparatus that carries out program retrieval and reproduction on the basis of program numbers used as subcodes corresponding to individual information programs recorded on the magnetic tape. Two high speed search operations are used in moving the tape from a current position to an object position. A memory is used to store code representations of program positions, and a position information calculation circuit determines tape position based on a detection of tape reel rotation. In one high speed search mode, the memory and calculation circuit output are compared to determine position. In another high speed search mode, the subcode on the tape is compared to a current tape position. When the object program number is stored in the memory, the mechanism block is set to a second high speed running mode by a control circuit. The block stays in that mode until the current tape position comes within a threshold distance of the object position.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 1988Date of Patent: December 26, 1989Assignee: Pioneer Electronic CorporationInventor: Tatsuro Nagao

Patent number: 4860129Abstract: In a signal reproducing device such as an R-DAT video tape recorder, a digital signal recorded on the recording medium is reproduced by the magnetic head, stored in a memory, processed by a processing circuit, and converted into an analog signal by a D/A converter, and a detector detects whether or not the reproduction signal outputted by the head is present so that, according to the output of the detector, a muting circuit mutes the digital-to-analog converted signal and a driver suspends the operation of a level meter adapted to display the level of the digital signal, whereby the production of noise signals and the abnormal display of signal levels are prevented.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 1988Date of Patent: August 22, 1989Assignee: Pioneer Electronic CorporationInventors: Nobutoshi Fukuda, Tatsuro Nagao, Naoto Arifuku, Masashi Tanabe, Shinichi Yamamisaka, Yoshiki Furuta

Patent number: 4839584Abstract: A signal recording/reproducing apparatus having both bar-type and numeric signal-level displaying units which can be easily read. The apparatus includes a sample-and-hold circuit for sampling and holding an input signal at a first predetermined rate, a first display unit for displaying in bar form the sample values sampled by the sample-and-hold circuit, a data holding circuit for sampling and holding the sample values periodically at a second predetermined rate, and a second display unit for numerically displaying the sample values selected by the data holding circuit. The bar code display can change at a rapid rate to dynamically follow the input signal, while the numeric display changes at a slower rate so as to allow the user sufficient time to comprehend the numerically displayed value.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 1987Date of Patent: June 13, 1989Assignee: Pioneer Electronics CorporationInventors: Nobutoshi Fukuda, Masashi Tanabe, Yoshiki Furuta, Tatsuro Nagao, Naoto Arifuku, Shinichi Yamamisaka
