    Abstract: Provided is a molded component for slide fasteners, which has a good balance between mechanical strength and platability. This molded component for slide fasteners is made of a resin composition that contains 30-50% by mass of a polyamide and 50-70% by mass of reinforcing fibers, with the total of the polyamide and the reinforcing fibers being substantially 100% by mass. In the resin composition, the polyamide has a weight average molecular weight of 30,000-80,000, and 50% by mass or more of the polyamide is composed of an aliphatic polyamide.
