Abstract: A seat belt winding device for motor vehicles of the type for winding up two seat belts upon a single winding device shaft one over the other including a shaft for winding the two seat belts upon, means for causing the shaft to rotate in the windup direction when the two seat belts are extended and a pressure board resiliently engaging with the outside surface of the seat belts wound on the shaft whereby a pressure is always applied to the two seat belts when they are extended.

Abstract: A passenger restraining belt retractor for winding up two restraining belts on a single retractor shaft over the other including a base, a retractor shaft rotatably supported by said base for winding up the belts during retraction, a guide, a roller which engages with and presses against the guide one of the belts, the roller being arranged and configured to rotate as the other one of the two belts is extended thereby insuring that both belts are extended simultaneously.

Abstract: A seat belt retractor system of the type wherein two seat belts are wound up on a single retractor shaft one over the other. The retractor includes a base, a retractor shaft rotatably supported by the base and a fastening means provided on both seat belts whereby the seat belts are easily fastened together when the seat belts contact each other during retraction and are easily separated when the seat belts are separated during extension.

Abstract: A safety belt device for use in vehicles, having at least one belt extending across the body of a passenger sitting on a seat, in which the belt is held in a disengaging position forwardly of the seat irrespective of the door opening and closing operation when the passenger is not sitting on the seat, providing for the passenger to get into the vehicle, and is placed in an engaging position when the passenger has sat down on the seat and closed the door, restraining the body of the passenger, and is retracted to the disengaging position when the passenger sitting on the seat has opened the door providing for alighting of the passenger from the vehicle.

Abstract: A buckle for safety belt comprising means for releasably locking in locked position a tongue plate inserted into the buckle body through an insertion opening, a slider disposed in the buckle body to be moved against the force of a spring by being urged by the inserted tongue plate, a contact pin extending through the slider to protrude from the opposite side faces thereof, and a pair of stationary contact strips disposed on opposite sides of the slider in the buckle body to be simultaneously engaged by or disengaged from the contact pin with the sliding movement of the slider.
