  • Patent number: 4686946
Abstract: The present invention relates to a valve moving system of an over head valve engine, minimized the overall height of cylinder head and head cover by inclining valve stems and footing bolts of rocker arm supports, and by disposing the part of upper wall of the cylinder head, where said footing bolts are screwed in, lower than bosses for supporting valve stems, which are also formed on said upper wall of said cylinder head, so as to match said engine with any machines which have a side valve engine for general use.

  • Patent number: 4633824
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cooling means for the squish part of an air cooling over head valve engine, comprising a fan disposed in front of said engine for generating cooling wind. A fan case is provided which covers the front side of the fan and engine. A wind tunnel is formed through the cylinder head of said engine near the squish area and is aligned so as to pass a cooling wind, generated by the fan, above the squish area. The engine is provided with an intake and exhaust ports opening at the front and rear surfaces of said cylinder head, respectively. In the lateral side of the wind tunnel, an intake or exhaust pipe is disposed laterally over the front space of the tunnel, so as to guide cooling wind blown up from the fan to the tunnel along its lower peripheral surface thereof.

  • Patent number: 4628878
Abstract: A splash lubricating system for an engine having a crank case, a crank room formed in said crank case, an oil reserving room formed in lower part of said crank case for lubricating oil, and an oil splasher extending from a big end of the connecting rod downward so as to splash about lubricating oil from said reserving room to said crank room on its way from the front side to the back side along the lower part of its orbit, wherein the improvement involves a transverse partition covering over all of said oil reserving room, disposed in the upper space thereof, having an opening which allows said oil splasher to move therein, and three buffer plates covering front, right and left sides of said opening respectively for controlling oil level under them.

  • Patent number: 4610227
Abstract: The present invention relates to an automatic decompression system for starting an engine with a decompression pin penetrating the cam shaft to thrust a tappet of the valve moving system by biasing force of a spring for decompression and retreated from the tappet by centrifugal force of a fly weight and itself, wherein, said fly weight is inserted in the space between the inner periphery of the rim of the cam gear, which rim is extruded toward the cam, and the outer periphery of the flange faced against the outer periphery of the rim, which flange functions to decide the axial position of the cam gear.
