Abstract: The information processing apparatus includes a computation processing circuit of which a state is capable of being switched at least between an active state in which power is consumed, and a no-power-usage state in which power is not consumed; an event detection module that detects a first event used to shift the state of the computation processing circuit from the no-power-usage state to the active state; a power isolation circuit that isolates power of the event detection module from power of the computation processing circuit in the no-power-usage state; and an isolation canceling circuit that cancels, in the active state, the isolation performed by the power isolation circuit.

Abstract: There are provided a file search system and program that perform efficient searches by creating, with respect to a file search environment where files for which a full-text search should be allowed and files for which a full-text search is unnecessary coexist, different index files. With respect to a file search system in which a file search server, a file server and a client are interconnected via a communications line 9, the file search server 1 comprises: metadata search means adapted to select, upon receiving a search request from the client 3, metadata matching records from an index 2 file based on a conditional search expression; full-text search means adapted to perform a search with respect to an index 1 file by referencing keywords based on the conditional search expression and the metadata matching records; and means adapted to transmit the search result to the client 3.

Abstract: There is disclosed a method for producing aromatic polyamides represented by the following formula (III), which comprises reacting an aromatic dihalogen compound represented by the following formula (I) with a diamine compound represented by the following formula (II) in the presence of cobalt/phosphine complex and a basic substance under carbon monoxide atmosphere:X.sub.1 --Ar--X.sub.2 formula (I)wherein Ar represents an aromatic residue and X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 each represent a bromine or iodine atom,H.sub.2 N--R--NH.sub.2 formula (II)wherein R represents a divalent hydrocarbon group, andformula (III) ##STR1## wherein Ar and R each have the same meaning as the above, and n is a positive integer.
