  • Publication number: 20210370094
Abstract: A radiation therapy apparatus that enhances the reliability and ease of use of a treatment is provided. A radiation therapy apparatus includes: a treatment bed moving a top plate with an object to be treated Pt placed on the top plate to a predetermined treatment location; an imaging apparatus moving to the predetermined treatment location from a direction different from the direction of movement of the top plate and picking up an image of the object to be treated; and an irradiation apparatus provided between the treatment bed and the imaging apparatus, extensible, and applying a radioactive ray to the object to be treated. When the CT apparatus moves to the treatment location, the irradiation apparatus moves to a predetermined waiting position P1. When applying a radioactive ray to an object to be treated, the irradiation apparatus moves to a predetermined irradiation position P3.

  • Patent number: 10695587
Abstract: A particle therapy system has an irradiation system attached to a rotary drum of a gantry. A radiation treatment cage disposed in the rotary drum includes a movable floor including a horizontal floor portion. The movable floor includes a number of footboards connected bendably and X-ray transmission plates. The movable floor has a slide member at each end thereof, and the slide member is movably attached to a guide rail that is provided for each of opposite side surfaces of the irradiation system. X-ray sources are disposed outside the rotary drum apart from each other in a circumferential direction of the rotary drum and attached to the outer surface of the rotary drum. The irradiation system includes X-ray detection systems opposite to the X-ray sources.

  • Patent number: 9838053
Abstract: A method of performing alternate frequency switching in a radio includes tuning the radio to a primary frequency. A candidate alternate frequency is identified. It is determined whether the candidate alternate frequency is a third order inter-modulation artifact. Tuning is switched from the primary frequency to the candidate alternate frequency only if it is determined in the determining step that the candidate alternate frequency is not a third order inter-modulation artifact.

  • Patent number: 9636971
Abstract: A method of operating a vehicle includes receiving a radio frequency signal and determining that the radio frequency signal has at least one characteristic indicative of the vehicle entering a tunnel. A setting of a vehicle system is automatically modified in response to the determining step.

  • Patent number: 9602081
Abstract: A method of operating a single-tuner radio includes tuning into a first frequency. A pause in a first signal associated with the first frequency is detected. Tuning is switched from the first frequency to a second frequency during the pause. Fieldstrength, multipath, adjacent channel energy, frequency offset and FM modulation for the second frequency are measured. Tuning is switched from the second frequency to the first frequency. Tuning is switched from the first frequency to the second frequency dependent upon the measuring step.

  • Publication number: 20160180856
Abstract: A method of operating an audio system in an automobile includes identifying a user of the audio system. An audio recording playing on the audio system is identified. An audio setting entered into the audio system by the identified user while the audio recording is being played by the audio system is sensed. The sensed audio setting is stored in memory in association with the identified user and the identified audio recording. The audio recording is retrieved from memory with the sensed audio setting being embedded in the retrieved audio recording as a watermark signal. The retrieved audio recording is played on the audio system with the embedded sensed audio setting being automatically implemented by the audio system during the playing.
