    Abstract: A wire processing apparatus includes a microwave generator, a microwave transmitter, a waveguide coaxial converter and a wire insertion pipe, and the wire insertion pipe is disposed in the wireguide coaxial converter. In wire recycling process, after a tip end of a coated wire is inserted into the wire insertion pipe, microwave is launched into the inside of the waveguide coaxial converter. The tip end of the coated wire is separated into a decomposed coating insulator and a molten electric conductor by microwave. In wire cross-linking process, after microwave is launched into the inside of the waveguide coaxial converter, the coated wire is inserted into the wire insertion pipe. The coated wire is cross-linked by high frequency heat and a coating insulator is adhered well to an electric conductor by heat shrinking.

In this manner, at least the management information located at the leading end of the application data can be stored in the memory (4). In reproducing the application data from the tape cassette (1), the management information stored in the memory (4) is exploited to save time for accessing the management information recorded on the magnetic tape (3) to speed up the accessing to the data recorded on the magnetic tape (3).

    Abstract: In an optical recording medium wherein grooves or lands formed on the supporting substrate are used for the recording tracks, and wherein prepits are also formed, production of the supporting substrate and high density recording are facilitated. This medium comprises a supporting substrate and a recording layer on the substrate wherein the surface of the supporting substrate on which the recording layer is formed is formed with alternating continuous convex portions and continuous concave portions which are substantially parallel to each other. The adjacent continuous convex portions are connected by bridging convex portions extending in transverse direction, and the bridging convex portion has a planar configuration that its width is minimum at or near the center between the adjacent continuous convex portions. The supporting substrate is produced by using a master disk which has a resist layer formed with mother patterns of each of the continuous convex portions, continuous concave portions, and prepits.
