The image processing unit is configured to set a gradation characteristic of the image data to be displayed on the image display unit to a first gradation characteristic and simultaneously switch a luminance setting value from a first luminance setting value to a second luminance setting value when the image display system accepts a request to change the luminance setting value of the image display unit from the first luminance setting value to the second luminance setting value, and then switch the gradation characteristic of the image data to be displayed on the image display unit to a second gradation characteristic.
Abstract: A display processing unit causes a display device to display an endoscopic image of a living tissue in a somatic cavity captured by an endoscope. An operation reception unit receives a user operation that is performed so as to set an area of interest in the endoscopic image. An area-of-interest setting unit sets the area of interest in the endoscopic image based on the user operation. A three-dimensional information acquisition unit acquires three-dimensional shape information of the living tissue captured by the endoscope. A virtual surface derivation unit derives three-dimensional shape information of a virtual surface in the area of interest from three-dimensional shape information of an area different from the area of interest. A size information identification unit identifies information concerning a size of the virtual surface from the three-dimensional shape information of the virtual surface.

Abstract: A traveling control apparatus includes a speed control processor, first and second brake command detectors, a brake control processor, and an operational state setting unit. The speed control processor controls a vehicle speed to cause a vehicle to travel at a target speed, and is switchable between an active operational state and an inactive operational state. The first brake command detector detects a first brake command based on a driver's operation. The brake control processor generates a second brake command based on an environment outside the vehicle. The second brake command detector detects the second brake command. The operational state setting unit maintains the speed control processor in the active operational state when the first brake command is generated while the speed control processor is in the active operational state, and switches the speed control processor to the inactive operational state when the second brake command is generated.
