  • Patent number: 7856096
Abstract: A DTMF signal processing apparatus of the present invention comprises a data divider unit, a DTMF signal component analyzer unit, a weighting processing unit, a buffer, a DTMF signal erasure determination unit, and a DTMF signal erasure processing unit. The data divider unit divides speech data into a plurality of divided speech data, and the DTMF signal component analyzer unit analyzes whether or not the divided speech data has a DTMF signal component. The weighting processing unit applies a weighting value to divided speech data analyzed at this time and stores the resultant speech data in the buffer, and also applies a weighting value to past divided speech data previously stored in the buffer when the result of the analysis indicates that the analyzed divided speech data has the DTMF signal component. The DTMF signal erasure determination unit determines based on the weighting value whether or not to erase the divided speech data stored in the buffer.

  • Publication number: 20100128715
Abstract: In media communication by way of a packet-switching network and a circuit-switching network, a protocol conversion device for converting protocols between the packet-switching network and the circuit-switching network includes a call connection unit and a protocol converter. The call connection unit carries out call connection processes of media communication between terminals of the packet-switching network side and terminals of the circuit-switching network side. The protocol converter analyzes packets of speech received from the packet-switching network to specify the encoding bit rate of speech data in the speech packets. The protocol converter then specifies the multiplex table used in multiplexing frames on the circuit-switching network from the encoding bit rate. The protocol converter further generates frames by using the multiplex table that was specified to multiplex data in the payload of packets received from the packet-switching network and transmits to the circuit-switching network.

  • Publication number: 20070242663
Abstract: When media communication is relayed through a circuit switching network and a packet switching network, packet congestion and packet loss is inhibited by limiting the bandwidth and the number of packets on the packet switching network. Audio packets received from the packet switching network are stored in a buffer for absorbing fluctuation on the packet switching network, and it is determined whether an encoded audio stream is acquirable from the buffer. If no acquisition, an encoded audio stream representing either silence or noise information is generated and multiplexed, and the multiplexed data is output to the circuit switching network. Multiplexed data constituted by a plurality of multiplexed encoded streams received from the circuit switching network is separated into respective encoded streams, and only encoded audio streams representing sound or noise information are packetized based on the frame information for the encoded audio streams and sent to the packet switching network.
