  • Patent number: 5735470
Abstract: An irrigation hose provides a long life expectancy. The irrigation hose is characterized in that a plurality of flow passages are defined by partitions dividing the inside of the hose which is made of thermoplastic resin; and that each flow passage is provided with irrigation holes formed in a member of the tube portion which is in contact with outside air, that is the outer wall thereof. The irrigation hose can provide different irrigation methods appropriate to the crops or growth stages with just one hose, without exchanging or laying multiple hoses with different irrigation methods. A film 16 is inserted between a film 12 which is made of long thermoplastic resin film with irrigation holes formed throughout at regular pitch and another film 12 which is also made of a long thermoplastic resin film with irrigation holes on both sides.

  • Patent number: 5075156
Abstract: Multi-layered crosslinked ethylenic resin films comprising a laminate of at least two ethylene resin layers crosslinked by irradiation with ionizing radiation are constructed in that an outer layer contains at least one specific crosslinking controlling agent such as hydrogenated terpene resin in a higher concentration than in an inner layer. The films are advantageously applicable to shrink packaging for foodstuffs.

  • Patent number: 5026965
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a tube with precise holes. The side of a tube is drilled at predetermined intervals by a laser beam while the tube is being conveyed in its longitudinal direction in a tubular state. In consequence, manufacture is facilitated, and the precise holes can be drilled.

  • Patent number: 5021285
Abstract: A nonwoven sheet for agricultural use made of a hydrophobic nonwoven fabric subjected to hydrophilic treatment in which a surfactant is applied to at least part of the surface of the hydrophobic nonwoven fabric, the sheet being characterized in that the hydrophilic treatment creates channels that allow water to pass from the obverse surface of the nonwoven fabric to the underside thereof and in that the percentage of water retention is within the range of 150 to 300 wt %. The provision of the channels enable water to rapidly pass from the obverse surface of the nonwoven sheet to the underside thereof, and the weight of the nonwoven fabric is not increased by water retention because of the percentage of water retention being small.
