  • Publication number: 20020184962
Abstract: A pedal support structure for use in a vehicle contains a toe board, a steering support beam, a master cylinder, a pair of pedal support elements including pedal support portions, a supporting mechanism provided between the pedal support portions supporting a pedal lever, and a catcher bracket. When an impact is applied to the vehicle, the pedal support portions are spread apart so as to disconnect the pedal lever from the pedal supporting mechanism and the movement of the pedal lever in a direction toward an operator of the vehicle is restricted by the pedal lever contacting the catcher bracket.

  • Patent number: 6213245
Abstract: A transmission having a propeller shaft in the rear is mounted on a cross member which is connected with left and right side frames of a vehicle. The cross member has a closed cross section extending in a transverse direction of the vehicle and is connected at a central portion thereof with the transmission. Two sets of three mounting bolts disposed in a triangular relationship connect the cross member with the left and right side frames through bolt holes slotted in an outward direction of the vehicle on the cross member. When the vehicle has a collision, the transmission is displaced rearwardly and the cross member is deformed to absorb an impact load until the propeller shaft is disconnected from the floor panel.

  • Patent number: 6110993
Abstract: The present invention provides a thermosetting epoxy resin composition which copes with both storage stability and curing properties at a low temperature. A thermosetting epoxy resin composition of the present invention comprises (A) an epoxy resin, and (B) a fine powder-treated curing agent which comprises a curing agent in the solid state at room temperature, and particle surfaces of which are adhered with a fine powder having a center particle size of 2 .mu.m or less in a weight ratio of said solid curing agent to said fine powder in the range between 1:0.001 to 1:0.7, for hiding active sites on the surface of the curing agent. This composition is useful as an adhesive, a sealant, a coating material, a paint, a potting material, and a molding material.

  • Patent number: 6066690
Abstract: This application provides a heat vulcanizable rubber composition which prevents scorch in a molding process for the production of vulcanized rubber molded articles, and has good storage stability when the composition is formulated in the form of a one pack pasty composition. The heat vulcanizable rubber composition of the present invention contains (A) a rubber component having double bonds, and (B) a vulcanizing agent in the solid state at room temperature and a vulcanizing accelerator in the solid state at room temperature, characterized in that the particle surfaces of at least one of the vulcanizing agent and vulcanizing accelerator are treated with a fine powder having a center particle size of 2 .mu.m or less in a weight ratio of said at least one of the vulcanizing agent and vulcanizing accelerator to the fine powder in the range between 1:0.001 to 1:2, to form the fine powder-treated vulcanizing agent and/or vulcanizing accelerator.

  • Patent number: 5866668
Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a heat curable composition having both of an excellent storage stability and low-temperature curability. The heat curable composition of this invention comprises (A) a polyisocyanate compound and an urethane prepolymer having a terminal active isocyanate group which is prepared by reacting a polyol component with an excess amount of a polyisocyanate compound, which are used each alone or in a combination threof; and (B) a fine particles-coated amine which is prepared by coating an active amino group on the surface of a solid amine having a melting point of .gtoreq.50.degree. C. and a mean particle size of .ltoreq.20 .mu.m with fine particles having a mean particle size of .ltoreq.2 .mu.m in a ratio of the solid amine/the fine particles of 1/0.001 to 0.5 by weight.

  • Patent number: 5079313
Abstract: Polymer dispersing agent comprising a graft polymer prepared by graft-polymerizing an organopolysiloxane having a mercapto group on the side chain with at least one acrylic or methacrylic monomer, and epoxy resin composition comprising epoxy resin, silicone resin and the above polymer dispersing agent. The polymer dispersing agent has an excellent effect for dispersing the silicone resin into the epoxy resin, and thereby the epoxy resin composition thus prepared has high dispersion stability and exhibits improved impact resistance and relaxation of residual internal stress and is useful as a sealing agent for IC, a coating agent, a paint composition, an adhesive, and a prepreg.
