  • Patent number: 6643655
Abstract: A plurality of HTML files having their file names which may directly be recognized by a filtering part 415 in a data receiver are stored in a data storage part 411. File names of the HTML files are assigned to their headers by a data converter 412, and the files converted and multiplexed are repeatedly transmitted by a data multiplexing and transmitting part 413. A filtering part 415 selects the data having exact match with the filtering condition. A data processing part 419 performs data processing required for generating images, and the images thus generated are displayed on a screen of the display part 421. The data processing part 419 provides a switching command to a filtering conditions varying part 417 when an operator enters a file to be linked through an input part 420. The file to be linked is received as a result of changing the filtering conditions.

  • Publication number: 20020046310
Abstract: The present invention provides a system capable of individually controlling each of receiving devices while making full use of the advantages of broadcasting. Simultaneous transmission is carried out from a broadcasting device 2 to a plurality of receiving devices 6 via a broadcasting path. Further, the broadcasting device 2 sends operation control data to the receiving device 6 through a communication path. The receiving device 6 changes its operation in accordance with the operation control data when received broadcasting is decoded. In this way, each of the receiver devices 6 can be controlled individually using the operation control data while making full use of the advantages of broadcasting.

  • Patent number: 6134351
Abstract: When gradation values of an original image are converted, a pixel data read unit reads out a piece of pixel data, and a pixel data conversion unit converts the gradation value of the piece of pixel data. A condition judging unit decides whether a pixel corresponding to the piece of pixel data satisfies a predetermined condition, and a data conversion correction unit corrects by a stochastic process the conversion performed by the pixel data conversion unit when the condition judging unit decides that the piece of pixel data satisfies the predetermined condition.

  • Patent number: 5913039
Abstract: An on-demand communication system provides a multimedia server connected to a plurality of clients via a network. A data stream can be transmitted in response to a transmission request of a title from a transmission device at the site of the client. The transmission device will transmit a set of reproduction information, including a plurality of titles and reproduction start times to the server along with the client identification. The server contemporarily would store, in a buffer, the reproduction information and the client identifier, read the reproduction information and the client identifier and then create a set of transmission information for each client request. A timer unit can activate a timer assigned to the client to measure time when the data stream transmission device is to start transmitting the data stream to the client.
