Patent number: 10769551Abstract: Provided herein is a computer readable medium having instructions embodied therewith, the instructions executable by a processor or programmable circuitry of a computer to cause the processor or programmable circuitry to perform operations comprising: selecting a first set of reference training data from a training data set based on a degree of difference between each set of reference training data in the training data set and target training data; determining whether a degree of difference between the target training data and the first set of reference training data is below a first threshold; and determining whether to include the target training data in the training data set using at least a degree of difference between the target training data and at least one second set of reference training data, wherein the at least one second set of reference training data is included in the training data set and does not include the first set of reference training data.Type: GrantFiled: January 9, 2017Date of Patent: September 8, 2020Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Kanako Fujitani, Mariko Ishige, Yusuke Nishitani, Yutaka Oishi, Tatsuya Sobue, Masayuki Yamana

Patent number: 9993209Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present invention, a system dynamically monitors a patient's physiological condition and location information to generate an alarm signal to enable the patient to timely administer a health substance. Initially, the system monitors location information of a health substance and the patient and physiological information of the patient. A processor in the system determines a predicted time when the patient may attain a physiological condition for receiving the health substance and may further determine a transit time for the patient to travel to a location of the health substance. Based on the predicted and transit times, the system issues an alarm signal to the patient prior to the predicted time. Embodiments of the present invention further include a method and computer program product for monitoring a patient's physiological condition and location information to generate an alarm signal in substantially the same manner described above.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 2017Date of Patent: June 12, 2018Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Kanako Fujitani, Mariko Ishige, Yusuke Nishitani, Yutaka Oishi, Tatsuya Sobue, Masayuki Yamana

Patent number: 9590941Abstract: A sender of a message may be alerted that the message he is sending contains content that may be culturally sensitive to the recipient of the message. The message specifying a sender and a recipient may be received, and potentially sensitive content within the message may be identified. Biometric data may then be received and a recipient profile with cultural attributes about the recipient of the message can be accessed. The potentially sensitive content can then be analyzed using natural language processing, and sensitive content within the message can be identified. The sender can then be notified that the message contains sensitive content.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 2015Date of Patent: March 7, 2017Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Takaharu Itoh, Tatsuya Sobue, Riko Sato, Hikaru Tamura

Patent number: 9531659Abstract: In a client, an input receiver receives utterance data inputted through the client and utterance data inputted through a different client and received by a receiver, and then stores the utterance data in a past log storage as a past log. When the input receiver receives new utterance data, a reference information generator determines preceding utterance data referred to by the new utterance data, from the past log, generates reference information indicating a reference relationship, and then stores the reference information in a reference information storage. Then, a transmitter transmits the new utterance data and the reference information to the different client, and a display controller displays the utterance data stored as the past log, the new utterance data, and an indicator based on the reference information.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2009Date of Patent: December 27, 2016Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Tatsuya Sobue, Norimasa Hayashida, Akihiro Kosugi, Atsushi Sato

Patent number: 6377271Abstract: The image data transferring apparatus of this invention determines that the change in the image is very small when a change in the image is not detected during a given time period, for example, and generates transmission data which causes image data displaying a full color image of, for example, 24 bits per pixel to be displayed in the receiving side in a relatively small number of frames in a unit time for transmission. Conversely, the image data transferring apparatus transmits reduced color data which is reduced from 24 bits per pixel to 4 bits per pixel in a relatively large number of frames in a unit time to the receiving side when it is determined that many changes are included in the image.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 1999Date of Patent: April 23, 2002Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Hidemasa Muta, Tatsuya Sobue, Aya Mori
