  • Patent number: 6591092
Abstract: A gain of a broadcast signal receiver for the digital audio broadcast (DAB) system is controlled in order to obtain an output signal of a predetermined level using an AGC loop. The DAB signal of the DAB system includes a Guard Interval within an interval of each symbol, and the Guard Interval does not include valid data to be recovered. Accordingly, the gain change of the AGC loop is done within the Guard Interval in order to avoid signal distortion in the output signal, thereby the DAB receiver having high fidelity is achieved with low cost.
