  • Patent number: 8040109
Abstract: Poor contact on a terminal face that is likely to especially occur with a dry battery with low electromotive force can be appropriately inspected and suppressed. Moreover, the inspection can be highly efficiently performed in a non-contacting state. Also, a cylindrical dry battery in which the poor contact on the terminal face is certainly suppressed is provided. An apparatus 50 that inspects an electric contact at an outer surface of a positive terminal 12 and a negative terminal 32 of a dry battery 10, includes: a light-emitting section 51 that makes a light incident on a part to be measured on a terminal face of the battery; a light-receiving section 52 that detects a reflection state of the light from the part to be measured, and a measurement processing section 55 that quantifies gloss level of the part to be measured based on detection with the light-receiving section 52, wherein evaluation data of the electric contact is obtained with measurement values of the gloss level.

  • Patent number: 7932950
Abstract: An automatic focusing apparatus performs focusing using a first automatic focusing method in which lens drive control is performed based on a focus signal so that a focus lens is moved to an in-focus point, and a second automatic focusing method in which lens drive control is performed based on information corresponding to an object distance so that the focus lens is moved to an in-focus point. The direction in which the focus lens is moved to the in-focus point according to the second automatic focusing method is compared with the direction in which the focus lens is moved to the in-focus point according to the first automatic focusing method. Based on the result, it is determined whether to perform the lens drive control according to the second automatic focusing method.

  • Publication number: 20110009988
Abstract: The present invention allows a user to enjoyably select a music content, which meets the user's potential likes, for a short period of time without stressing the user. The present invention selects a group of music contents, which should be regarded as objects of reproduction, from among numerous contents, sequentially reproduces and outputs hook-portion data items (A1, B1, and C1) of the group of music contents, inserts a hook switching sound effect, which is expected to exert a user-desired effect, between adjoining ones of the hook-portion data items (A1, B1, and C1), and thus performs partial reproduction processing on the hook portions of the group of music contents.

  • Patent number: RE42793
Abstract: The object of this invention is to provide an imaging apparatus capable of providing a high-quality image optimum for medical diagnosis or the like by an arrangement for preventing any degradation in image quality due to the influence of electromagnetic noise and vibration caused by grid movement. In order to achieve this object, as operation control in receiving radiation transmitted through an object by an image sensing element through a movable grid and reading the accumulated signal from the image sensing element, a control device stops moving drive movement of the grid after the end of radiation irradiation for the object, and after the stop of moving drive stopping the movement, starts reading the accumulated signal from the image sensing element.
