  • Patent number: 7726782
Abstract: This image generating apparatus comprises a control portion printing a print image by predicting an ambient temperature in an apparatus body substantially reaching a constant level after continuously printing the same print image from the data quantity of the print image and adding a heat quantity corresponding to the difference between the predicted ambient temperature in the apparatus body and a printing-time ambient temperature in the apparatus body detected by a second temperature sensor to a heat quantity of a thermal head decided in response to a printing-time temperature of the thermal head detected by a first temperature sensor.

  • Patent number: 7634170
Abstract: When a user commands recording onto a DVD, a microprocessor of a DVD recorder acquires, from a DV camera, time code in photographed data recorded on a DV tape corresponding to a photographing end position in the DV tape, and stores the acquired time code in a memory, and thereafter sends a command for the DV camera to rewind the DV tape. When the microprocessor receives, from the DV camera, a response indicating completion of the rewinding, the microprocessor sends a command for the DV camera to reproduce the DV tape, and starts recording photographed data from the DV camera onto the DVD. When the time code received from the DV camera matches the time code stored in the memory, the microprocessor stops the recording onto the DVD. This DVD recorder enables recording on the DVD in one operation, improving handleability in recording from the DV tape to the DVD.

  • Patent number: 7587132
Abstract: A digital video recorder connected to a DV camcorder sends, to the camcorder upon detecting camcorder mode change from a reproduction mode to a rewind mode, a stop command to forward a DV tape toward its end until a newest time code coincides with a time code at a reproduction end position. Thereafter, upon completion of the tape forwarding, and upon camcorder mode change from a reproduction mode to a stop mode, the recorder sends a reproduction command to, and receives a response from, the camcorder, and determines, based on the response, result of the reproduction by the reproduction command. If the recorder determines the result as successful, it determines reproduction of the tape to be interrupted, while if it determines the result as failing, it determines dubbing of DV stream from the tape to be completed. This prevents omission of dubbing of DV stream from the tape without fail.

  • Publication number: 20070041717
Abstract: A DVD recorder acquires a time code from a DV camcorder that is in process of rewinding a DV tape in response to a rewind command, and calculates a difference between a current rewind position and a beginning position on the DV tape. When the difference is smaller than a first reference value, the DVD recorder changes a command to be issued to the DV camcorder into a step reverse command. Subsequently, the DVD recorder acquires time codes before and after the DV camcorder executes a step reverse operation, and compares the two time codes. When no change is found between the two time codes six consecutive times as a result of comparisons, the DVD recorder determines that the DV tape in the DV camcorder has been completely rewound. This allows the DVD recorder to correctly recognize the completion of the rewind of the DV tape in the DV camcorder.
