  • Publication number: 20230020578
Abstract: Systems and methods for vision test and uses thereof are disclosed. A method may be implemented on a mobile device having at least a processor, a camera and a display screen. The method may include capturing at least one image of a user using the camera of the mobile device; interactively guiding the user to a predetermined distance from the display screen of the mobile device based on the at least one image; presenting material on the display screen upon a determination that the user is at the predetermined distance from the display screen; and receiving input from the user in response to the material presented on the display screen. The material presented on the display screen may be for assessing at least one characteristic of the user's vision. Mobile devices and non-transitory machine-readable mediums having machine-executable instructions embodied thereon for assessing a user's vision also are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11488239
Abstract: Various aspects of the subject technology relate to systems, methods, and machine-readable media for virtual fitting of items such as spectacles and/or spectacle frames. A user interface for virtual fitting may be implemented at a server or at a user device, and utilize three-dimensional information for the user and three-dimensional information for each frame, with frame information stored in a frame database, to identify and/or recommend frames that are likely to fit the user. Fit information can be provided for a group of frames or for each individual frame selected by the user. The fit information can be provided with a static image of the frames and/or within a virtual try-on operation in which the frames are virtually placed on a real-time image of the user.

  • Publication number: 20220207539
Abstract: A system having at least one processor and at least one memory for predicting a fit quality between a wearable device and one or more customers is disclosed. The system comprises: a user interface generator configured for receiving a request from a user; a population engine configured for generating, based on the request, simulated head data based on real head data of a sample of customers; and a fit engine configured for determining fit information between the simulated head data and at least one design of the wearable device, wherein the fit information is displayed to the user as a response to the request. Methods and uses thereof are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210393121
Abstract: A method of operating a pupillary distance system is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of capturing, with at least one camera of the pupillary distance system a 2D image and a corresponding 3D depth map of a face of a subject. A determination of pupil localization information is made using the 2D image and corresponding 3D depth map. The pupil location is further refined based on the pupil localization information. Pupil center coordinates are determined and the pupillary distance is calculated for a subject between centers of each pupil. Processes and uses thereof are also disclosed.
