    Abstract: An improved hearing aid device having a perceivable indicator such that when the wearer removes the device from the ear canal, the indicator is activated. The indicator permits the user to easily locate the hearing aid device when it is needed again. The indicator may be a light emitting diode (LED) which illuminates continuously or it may blink to make it even more conspicuous. When the hearing aid is placed back in the user's ear, the indicator will be deactivated.
