Patent number: 11979273Abstract: In one example, a server system interfaces with a plurality of remotely-situated client entities to provide data communications services. The system uses processing circuitry to access an archive of voice data indicative of transcribed audio conversations between a client station and another station participating via the data communications services. Archived voice data includes keywords associated with at least one intent or at least one topic of the transcribed audio conversations. The system identifies keywords and/or identified contexts in a message (e.g., text-based message) received by a text-based virtual assistant, and correlates the text-based message with at least one intent or at least one topic by matching keywords from the archive of digital voice data with the identified keywords from the text-based message. The system may automatically configure the virtual assistant associated with the remotely-situated client entity to address the received text-based message, based on the correlation.Type: GrantFiled: May 27, 2021Date of Patent: May 7, 2024Assignee: 8x8, Inc.Inventors: Bryan R. Martin, Matt Taylor, Manu Mukerji

Patent number: 11920347Abstract: A joist assembly system that is structured for dynamic retrieval of components, dynamic and precise positioning and location of retrieved components, assembly of the components to form a joist, and delivery of the assembled joist. The joist assembly system has a plurality of material handling systems, a plurality of welding systems, and a rigging table system. The material handling systems are structured to load and position the components such as chords and webs onto the rigging table. The rigging table in turn supports the chords or webs. Subsequently, the plurality of welding systems weld the webs to the chords to form the joist.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2022Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: NUCOR CORPORATIONInventors: Jason Alan Freidenberger, Joseph Patrick Cagle, Christopher Ray Couch, Richard Thomas Erickson, Travis Marshall Fuhrman, John Lyman Hale, Matthew Glenn Hire, Christopher William Martin, James E. Publication number: 20230227515Abstract: The disclosure provides gene therapy vectors, such as adeno-associated virus (AAV), optimized for delivering a transgene to muscles. The optimized vectors contain constitutive or a muscle-specific promoter to deliver whole body or skeletal/heart muscle-specific transgene expression, respectively, in combination with a transgene cDNA to replace the gene mutation found in a muscle disease with a normal copy of the gene, an internal ribosomal entry site (IRES) to allow for production of a second protein from the same transcript, and a muscle growth factor, to build new muscle growth and strength. For example, the invention provides The disclosure provides gene therapy vectors, such as recombinant adeno-associated vims (rAAV), designed for treatment of GNE myopathy in which the rAAV expresses UDP-GlcNAc-epimerase/ManNAc-6 alone or in combination with a muscle growth factor or muscle transdifferentation factor.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2020Publication date: July 20, 2023Inventor: Paul Taylor Martin

Patent number: 11656372Abstract: A radiation detector (100) includes a photovoltaic layer (102) with first and second opposing sides. The photovoltaic layer is configured to absorb first radiation at the first side and produce electrical charge. The detector further includes a porous silicon quantum dot layer (104) disposed at the second side of the photovoltaic layer and configured to receive second radiation and convert the received second radiation into an electrical signal indicative of an energy level of the received second radiation. The detector further includes an acquisition and communication layer (106) disposed adjacent to the porous silicon quantum dot layer and configured to receive the electrical signal and transmit the electrical signal to a device remote from the radiation detector.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2019Date of Patent: May 23, 2023Assignees: KONINKLIJKE PHILIPS N.V., WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY, CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITYInventors: Marc Anthony Chappo, Stephanie Lee Brock, Ina Taylor Martin

Patent number: 11545037Abstract: An aircraft-based runway overrun awareness alerting system (ROAAS) for an aircraft primary flight display (PFD) is disclosed. In embodiments, the ROAAS is embodied aboard an aircraft and tracks trends in the aircraft position and heading. Further, the ROAAS tracks the trending energy state of the aircraft on approach to a runway. Based on the current energy state, as well as the runway parameters, the ROAAS predicts a landing point for the aircraft along the runway as a trend based on the evolving energy state and position of the aircraft. Based on the landing point trend, as well as the energy state, the ROAAS determines the current likelihood of runway excursion as an evolving trend (e.g., that the aircraft will not have sufficient runway remaining to decelerate or stop) and displays this likelihood as a dynamic graphic element not integrated into any other instruments or components displayed by the PFD.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 2020Date of Patent: January 3, 2023Assignee: Rockwell Collins, Inc.Inventors: Valerie R. Byxbe, Darin M. Underwood, Tony Vander Velden, Taylor Martin, Bernard S. McCaffrey
