  • Patent number: 10544979
Abstract: An appliance includes a first compartment and a second compartment. A temperature of the first compartment is determined with a first temperature sensor, and a temperature of the second compartment is determined with a second temperature sensor. If the temperature of the first compartment is above a first predetermined value and the temperature of the second compartment is above a second predetermined value, a controller causes the appliance to enter a pulldown mode. Upon entering the pulldown mode, the controller causes a valve to enter a first position where refrigerant flows to a freezer evaporator and is prevented from flowing to a fresh food evaporator.
