  • Publication number: 20090056405
Abstract: A method of machining a tube includes performing an obverse drawing process to the tube, where the obverse drawing process draws the tube in an obverse drawing direction from a first end toward a second end of the tube. The tube is turned around to perform a reverse drawing process, where the reverse drawing process draws the tube in a reverse drawing direction from the second end toward the first end of the tube. The obverse and the reverse drawing processes are alternately performed until the tube is thinned to a desired thickness.

  • Publication number: 20090000954
Abstract: A method for making lithium aluminide compound with high lithium content is disclosed. The method includes applying an electrolyte composed of lithium chloride, potassium chloride, and calcium chloride to accomplish a diffusive electrolysis under 380˜550° C. temperature. The lithium atoms of the electrolyte are reduced and diffused into an aluminum cathode, and liquid lithium aluminide is formed and floats on the electrolyte. The liquid lithium aluminide is further scooped up from the upper electrolyte and solidified to a lithium aluminide compound with 40˜62 wt % lithium content.

  • Publication number: 20080289392
Abstract: A sheet metal machining apparatus is disclosed, and the sheet metal machining apparatus includes a base, a driving device, a supporting device, a rolling device and an oscillating device. The driving device and the supporting device are set on the base. The rolling device is located on the supporting device, and has a first roller and a second roller. The oscillating device is associated with the second roller by a linear guide. Thus, the first roller and the second roller are driven by the driving device to rotate in an opposite directions wherein the second roller further reciprocates in a predetermined range through the oscillating device.

  • Publication number: 20080237055
Abstract: A method for making lithium aluminide compound in atmospheric environment at a working temperature includes accomplishing a diffusive electrolysis in an electrolyte composed of lithium chloride, potassium chloride and calcium chloride, exerting a direct current (voltage) on the electrolyte to reduce the lithium ions into lithium atoms on the surface of an rotative aluminum cathode, and subsequently the lithium atoms diffusing into the aluminum cathode during the electrolysis.

  • Publication number: 20080168864
Abstract: A method for making lithium-containing magnesium alloy is provided. The method includes carrying out a diffusive electrolysis in an electrolyte, essentially including lithium chloride and potassium chloride, by using a graphite material as an anode and a material of a magnesium or magnesium alloy as a cathode. Therefore, the lithium is diffused into the cathode to form a raw material, lithium-magnesium master alloy, with higher weight percentage of lithium. Further, the lithium-magnesium master alloy is smelted and cast into a lithium-containing magnesium alloy with a desired lithium content.
