  • Patent number: 8238445
Abstract: A video and audio data synchronization method for a high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) having a plurality of channels for outputting video and audio data includes determining a boundary between a control period and a data/video period in each of the plurality of channels, adjusting timing sequences of the plurality of channels respectively according to the boundaries, and simultaneously outputting video and audio data of the plurality of channels according to the timing sequences of the plurality of channels. This method can prevent loss of synchronization between channels due to layout and process variation.

  • Patent number: 8154657
Abstract: A data processing method for a high density multimedia interface (HDMI) includes receiving video and audio data, sampling the receiving data according to a sample clock, outputting a sampling pattern according to the sampled receiving data and the sample clock, comparing the sampling pattern with a plurality of predetermined patterns, deciding the timing sequence of the receiving data when the sampling pattern and one of the plurality of predetermined patterns are the same, and outputting the video and audio data according to the correct timing sequence.

  • Patent number: 7907500
Abstract: The invention discloses radio frequency zero crossing signal generators for optical disc drives, comprising a controllable low pass filter, a comparator, and a control circuit. The controllable low pass filter evaluates an average level of the magnitude of a radio frequency ripple from an optical disc drive. The comparator compares the radio frequency ripple to the average level evaluated by the controllable low pass filter to generate a radio frequency zero crossing signal. When the optical disc drive reads a fingerprint defect on an optical disc, the control circuit adjusts a cut-off frequency of the controllable low pass filter to adjust the speed at which the controllable low pass filter evaluates the average level.

  • Patent number: 7688690
Abstract: A method of determining whether an optical pick-up of an optical device passes through a data track of a storage device during track-seeking based on a radio frequency (RF) signal, a radio frequency zero cross (RFZC) signal radio and a track-seeking signal of the optical device. When the optical pick-up of the optical device passes through a data track of the storage device during track-seeking, a trigger signal is sent to a data phase locked loop of the optical device for frequency and phase adjustment. The method can activate the data phase locked loop of the optical device while the optical device is performing track-seeking.
