Abstract: Disclosed is a method for determining a most cost effective wireless service for a wireless device implemented at least in part in the wireless device. The method includes obtaining with a wireless device processor wireless service usage information for the wireless device. The method further includes determining with a processor a cost of various wireless service plans based on the wireless service usage information, determining with the processor the most cost effective wireless service in response to the determining with the processor the cost of various wireless service plans, and displaying a most cost effective wireless service information in a graphical user interface on a display of the wireless device. A device for implementing the method is disclosed as well.

Abstract: A process for authorizing wireless service includes providing a generally rectangular flat form factor card having a first surface and opposing second surface. The process further includes providing a machine-readable activation code arranged on the first surface, wherein the machine-readable activation code is configured to authorize the wireless service when provided to a system associated with a wireless service provider, receiving the machine-readable activation code in a server, the machine-readable activation code being captured by a wireless device, and provisioning the wireless service to the wireless device from a wireless network when the machine-readable activation code is provided to the system associated with the wireless network.

Abstract: A switching platform comprises a first circuit for recognizing tones generated by an originating telephone line, the tones representing a common number of a party and associated with telephone lines of the party, a second circuit for recognizing that the party has answered one of the associated telephone lines, a third circuit for sending a challenge to the answered telephone line, a fourth circuit for awaiting the party to satisfy the challenge, and a fifth circuit for establishing a telephone connection between the originating telephone line and the answered telephone line if the challenge is satisfied.
