Abstract: Some embodiments provide a water filtration system that is fluidly coupled to a water feed line and/or a water supply line and is designed to filter contaminates from the water supply. The water filtration system includes an outer housing, a front cover, a rear cover, a pump, a reverse osmosis (RO) element, a pre-filter cartridge, a post-filter cartridge, a permeate flush tank, a RO manifold, and a sensor manifold. The water filtration system further includes a pump and at least one solenoid. When assembled, a RO housing, a pre-filter housing, and a post-filter housing surround the RO element, the pre-filter cartridge, and the post-filter cartridge, respectively. The filter cartridges hold replaceable filtration media in an interior cavity and contaminants and other impurities are removed as water flows through the filtration media of the filter cartridges.

Abstract: A water softener salt monitoring system includes a brine tank configured for retaining a quantity of salt, a quantity of water and having a bottom, a sensor secured to the brine tank and constructed and arranged for sending a signal to the bottom, the sensor including a receiver configured for receiving a reflected signal off of at least one of the quantity of salt, the quantity of water and the bottom, and a controller connected to the sensor and programmed to compare the reflected signals with preset values, and for generating an alarm signal upon receipt of deviations from the preset values.

Abstract: A water filter assembly is provided, including a filter head including a filter manifold in fluid communication with an existing water line, a head housing connected to the manifold and including landings, an elongate key member depending from a portion of the filter head, and a filter cartridge including a filter housing constructed and arranged to retain a supply of filter media, a filter closure attached to an upper end of the filter housing and having at least an inlet port and an outlet port, the closure configured for engaging the landings of the head housing and also having a recess constructed and arranged to matingly and slidingly accommodate the key member so that, upon engaging the filter head, the filter cartridge is in alignment with the filter head.

Abstract: A drink formulating system includes a housing having a housing outlet, a receiving tank receiving water poured by a user, and a pump being configured for pumping water from the receiving tank. A first filter is in fluid communication with the pump for removing a first set of substances from the water. A second filter removes a second set of substances different from the first set of substances from the water obtained from the receiving tank. A second filter outlet is connected to an additive module having at least two additive cartridges, each cartridge supplying a designated composition of potable nutrients. A user-controlled interface allows for user selection of one of the designated nutrient compositions, which are then pumped into water from the chilling tank and distributed from the housing outlet.
