Abstract: A system and method are provided for reducing the risk of unauthorized intruder access to a protected information server from an application server. The method may include the operation of maintaining a data source object using the application server. The data source object can contain first information for accessing the protected information server. An additional operation is maintaining second information using the application server. The second information can be configured for accessing a security control server. After the application server has established a connection to the protected information server, the method can include the operation of causing the data source object to contain the second information for accessing the security control server.

Abstract: One embodiment of the invention is a method of responding to a browser request by a server comprising: reading a current load factor for the server; determining a quality of service level for a user that originated the browser request; determining a delay based upon the current load factor and the quality of service; delaying handling of the request by the server with the delay.

Abstract: One disclosed system for monitoring data transferred via an FTP protocol comprises a client, a server operating as an intermediary between the client and a foreign network, an audit database, and an audit module that comprises logic for monitoring the data transferred via an FTP protocol and logic for recording at least a portion of the data transferred via an FTP protocol to the audit database.
