  • Patent number: 4609215
Abstract: A hydraulic locking boltwork system includes a hand operated rotary actua hydraulic pump and a plurality of hydraulic cylinders in which each cylinder rod drives a deadbolt into the door frame including the top, bottom, and/or sides. Hydraulic devices are plumbed into the system to block hydraulic lines and lock the system, and an alarm triggers and/or activates automatic relocking devices.

Inventors: Henry L. Self, Teddy L. Pickett
  • Patent number: 4567100
Abstract: A laminar system for constructing doors and window shutters, to harden the nside of walls and to greatly increase the penetration resistance of structures. The sketch illustrates the material system and gives representative material thicknesses. The laminar system comprises an outer steel sheet, hardwood, polycarbonate plastic, a ballistic resistant (hardened steel) sheet, and an inner sheet of steel; the materials are laminated in the order given from the outside (attack side) to the inside. This laminar materials systems (used as a 3 foot wide by 7 foot high door, for example) provides greater penetration and ballistic resistance with lighter weight than prior systems.

  • Patent number: 4562706
Abstract: A torsion spring longitudinally rotates a locking bolt when the bolt actung linkage is severed. A woodruff key or the like is upstanding from a surface of the bolt. When the linkage is undamaged, the key slides with the bolt through a slot on the lock frame. When the bolt is rotated by the spring, it is locked in the rotated position by a locking pawl. In the rotated position, the key is out of registry with the slot and the bolt cannot be withdrawn from its extended, locking position. A second embodiment replaces the key with a recess in the bolt into which a locking pawl engages to prevent movement of the locking bolt.

  • Patent number: 4400114
Abstract: An apparatus and method for installing an extending plate earth anchor using extension plates, a hydraulic jack which works against the side of the wall, and techniques for load stress distribution are shown and described.

  • Patent number: 4278035
Abstract: A seedling planter consisting of a portable frame on which is mounted a horizontally rotatable, vertically movable index plate carrying a vertically movable, normally lowered scraper blade, a telescopic seedling drop tube, an auger, an auger hydraulic motor and a gear box coupling the motor to the auger. A carousel tray containing seedlings is rotatably mounted on the frame over the index plate, being rotatable stepwise by a pawl on the end of the piston rod of a retraction-extension hydraulic cylinder mounted on the frame.
