  • Patent number: 4446678
Abstract: A rotative plant material squeezing and shear force cell rupturing machine having a plurality of rollers, each with lobes and grooves intermeshing with the lobes and grooves of other rollers; the lobes and grooves may be either radial or axial irregularities of the rollers. By adjustment of roller spacing material processing may be varied from slight squeezing and shear fracture of the cells to almost total pulverization of the plant material.

  • Patent number: 4163638
Abstract: An apparatus useful in manufacturing a continuously extruded running length of construction paneling from continuous flow material sources. The material distribution system, operating in concert with intermittent advance motions of a material conveyor, provides even layer material distribution from the continuous flow sources.

  • Patent number: 4145389
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a continuously extruded running length of construction paneling from continuous flow sources of thermoplastic material bits and a mixture thereof with cellulose fiber bits, by successively fusing and pressure rolling even-distribution layers of thermoplastic bits, a mixture of thermoplastic and cellulose fiber bits, and, again thermoplastic bits, in respective ones of three cascaded oven chambers through which a material carrying conveyor is selectively advanced. Raw material distribution operates in concert with intermittent conveyor advance motions to provide even layer material distribution from the continuous flow sources, with each distributed layer being exposed to an oven environment to facilitate thermoplastic fusion during the time between intermittent conveyor advances and prior to subsequent pressure rolling.
