  • Patent number: 8708106
Abstract: An elevator arrangement, comprising an elevator car arranged to move in an elevator shaft or equivalent, preferably along car guide rails, and an element which is disposed in the elevator shaft or equivalent and is shiftable between an activated state and an inactivated state, and an activating device for shifting the said element between the activated and inactivated states. The activating device includes a flexible element, such as e.g. a rope or equivalent, movably attached to a fixed structure of the elevator shaft or equivalent, and the said flexible element is connected to the said shiftable element in a manner permitting the shiftable element to be shifted by means of the flexible element.

  • Patent number: 8453800
Abstract: An elevator, comprising an elevator car (1), car guide rails (3) on one side of the elevator car (1), an elevator shaft or equivalent (5), at least one stop block (9) attached to the car guide rails (3) or to the elevator shaft or equivalent (5), at least two movable stop blocks (7) attached to the elevator car (1), the latter stop blocks (7) being arranged to be moved transversely relative to the elevator shaft direction into a position aligned with at least one stop block (9) attached to the car guide rails (3) or elevator shaft or equivalent (5) and away from said position aligned with said stop block (9). The aforesaid at least two movable stop blocks (7) attached to the elevator car are connected to each other by a horizontal shaft (10) oriented substantially in a direction parallel with the wall of the elevator car (1) on the side of the car guide rails (3) to synchronize the motion of the movable stop blocks (7).

  • Patent number: 7197287
Abstract: A transmitter compensates for the non-linearities within a transmission chain. The transmitter includes, for instance, a first forming device for forming, on the basis of at least one set of signal properties, at least one state expansion vector comprising quantities characterizing a signal. The transmitter includes a modifier for modifying the signal characterizing quantities of at least one state expansion vector with the at least one time-domain compensation parameter vector and with the at least one frequency-domain compensation parameter vector to form a pre-distorted signal. The transmitter includes a second forming device for forming a feedback signal from an output signal of a transmission chain. The transmitter includes an adapter for adapting at least one time-domain compensation parameter vector for adapting at least one frequency-domain compensation parameter vector based on a residual error between a transmit signal and the feedback signal.
