    Abstract: When bend working a metallic material using a suitable counterpressure against the material concurrently with the application of the bending force, and using a pair of dies having the distance therebetween controlled to be 3.5 to 6 times the thickness of the material, very precise bending deformation region can be easily and stably obtained without any defects, such as camber, looseness, fin, cracks or breaks.
