    Abstract: The space between a rotary shaft movable in the axial direction within and extending from a casing is sealed by a rotary shaft seal component mounted around the rotary shaft and on a cylindrical pipe between the casing and the rotary shaft. The cylindrical pipe is movable in the axial direction in synchronism with the rotary shaft, but does not rotate therewith. Two seals movable in the axial direction are provided for sealing off the space between the casing and the cylindrical pipe.
