  • Patent number: 7099883
Abstract: A linking system and associated method are used to link two or more large dissimilar databases. The linking system generally includes a software program installed on a server with access to databases such as customer databases and organization databases. The linking system includes pointers, as needed, to link customers with positions, jobs, groups or other organizational entities. These pointers allow for a reduced maintenance of the underlying data, while the number of pointers used is relatively small. In addition, the set of information for each pointer can be modified without changing the structure or information of the linked databases.

  • Publication number: 20030171961
Abstract: A system and associated method dynamically route an object through an organization's workflow system by using, for example, the Systems Applications and Products (SAP) workflow technology so that whenever changes are made to an organization, they are automatically reflected in the workflow. The workflow routes do not need to be updated every time a change is made to either an organization database or a customer database, increasing the efficiency of the organization's productivity by implementing a single routing structure for all processes, across all applications, throughout the organization, worldwide. The ability to have an open, flexible routing method that reaches a low level of granularity within an organization improves productivity by sending the work items to specific recipients, and further improves the system and network performance by selectively sending only work items to these specific recipients as opposed to large groups of people.

  • Publication number: 20030172119
Abstract: A method and system dynamically send a language-specific email and attachment, using for example, the Systems Applications and Products (SAP) workflow technology and Internet connectivity to provide customized messages and PDF attachments to any customer, worldwide, via the customer's Internet address. To this end, the system parses a document to retrieve variable data related to several destination languages. Then, based on the parsed variable data, the system selects the specific destination languages for the electronic message and attachment, and sends the same in the selected destination languages to the various destination addresses. Concurrently, the system may also send the retrieved variable data to all or some of the destination addresses.
