Abstract: An authority approval method and system. A staff organization diagram is first created. An approval sheet is created according to the staff organization diagram and an approval process, and the approval sheet is given at least one approval layer, governed by an approval manager. Approvable terms of the approval sheet are determined according to the approval process. Finally, at least one approval manager is deployed at each approval layer of the approval sheet.

Abstract: A system and method for automatically transferring and sending an electronic document includes a plurality of databases located in different locations for collecting news data or information locally, with connections to each other through the Internet. The databases respectively include a transferring module, a synchronizing unit, a storing unit, a sending unit, and an editing/setting unit. The transferring module is used to transfer the encoding set of news data before being stored into a destination database. The encoding set transferring operation is performed according to the requirements of the database destination located, or to the encoding set that the database destination uses. The synchronizing unit is used to handle the data synchronizations among the plurality of databases. The storing unit is used to store data, while the editing/setting unit provides functions for editing an electronic newspaper and web pages by using the data stored in the storing unit.

Abstract: A system and method for identifying portable devices by a web server. The system includes a portable device and a web server. When web service is desired, at least one unique identifying characteristic of the portable device is acquired and included into the header of a HTTP packet, and the packet is sent to a web server. The packet is received by the web server through a network, and the unique identifying characteristics of the portable device are acquired from the header of the packet. Further, the production date and specifications of the portable device are acquired by querying a database according to the unique identifying characteristics on the web server.
