    Abstract: A spatial light modulator and a projection system are provided. The spatial light modulator includes a substrate layer, a first electrode layer, a first metasurface layer, a phase change material layer, a second electrode layer, and a first flat layer. The first electrode layer and the second electrode layer are respectively disposed on opposite sides of the substrate layer and the first flat layer that are parallel to each other, and the first metasurface layer and the phase change material layer are disposed between the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer. The first metasurface layer includes at least two metasurface units that are sequentially arranged, and a resonance frequency of each metasurface unit corresponds to a preset incident optical wavelength of each metasurface unit. The spatial light modulator performs phase modulation on incident light through the first metasurface layer and the phase change material layer.

One example WSS includes an input port fiber array, a demultiplexing/multiplexing grating group, an output port fiber array, and a beam deflection component group including two beam deflection components and at least one wavefront control element located between the demultiplexing/multiplexing grating group and the beam deflection component group or integrated with the LCoS. At least one beam deflection component is a LCoS. The input port fiber array receives multi-wavelength optical signals. The demultiplexing/multiplexing grating group demultiplexes and outputs the multi-wavelength optical signals. The beam deflection component group deflects the multi-wavelength optical signals to the demultiplexing/multiplexing grating group. The demultiplexing/multiplexing grating group multiplexes the multi-wavelength optical signals to the output port fiber array.

    Abstract: This application provides a tunable optical add/drop multiplexer T-OADM. A beam adjustment apparatus changes an incident angle at which an incident beam is emitted onto an optical filter. After the optical filter splits the incident beam into a transmitted beam and a reflected beam, the beam adjustment apparatus further adjusts a transmission direction of the transmitted beam emergent from the optical filter and a transmission direction of the reflected beam emergent from the optical filter, so that the transmitted beam and the reflected beam are output to corresponding ports, so as to implement a flexible and controllable T-OADM apparatus. This application may be applied to the optical communication field, for example, may be used to implement add/drop multiplexing of tributary signals in an optical domain in fields such as a long-haul backbone and a metropolitan area network.
