  • Patent number: 9505868
Abstract: The present invention relates to a thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer composition in powder form comprising an olefin block copolymer and optionally a high density polyethylene (HDPE), said composition having a Shore A hardness greater than 75, a Tg less than ?45° C., a distinct melting peak greater than 95° C., a zero shear viscosity equal to or less than 1,200 Pa-s and a particle size distribution wherein 85 percent of the particles fall between 150 microns to 420 microns and no particles are greater than 500 microns. Said composition demonstrates good pulverizing and flow characteristics at a temperature of 5° C. or less than the distinct melting peak of the olefin block copolymer. In another aspect, this invention relates to a process for preparing said thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer powder and applications for using said powder.

  • Patent number: 9115620
Abstract: The present invention relates to a flexible polyolefin composition, a sheet made therefrom, and a formed textured skin for applications such as interior furnishings of an automobile and a process to make such composition, sheet, and textured skin. Specifically said composition comprises an extrudable cross-linkable polyolefin composition comprising: (i) from 60 to 75 weight percent of one or more one silane cross-linkable polyolefin polymer; (ii) a moisture-cure condensation catalyst; and (iii) from 25 to 40 weight percent of one or more polyolefin polymer elastomer. Preferably an extruded sheet of said composition is formed into a textured skin, preferably by positive vacuum forming.

  • Patent number: 8912135
Abstract: A synergistic mixture for promoting soil release from fabric, under laundry washing conditions, which comprises a polyacrylate polymer and at least one water soluble modified cellulose ether. The polyacrylate polymer comprises: (i) 90-100 weight % of polymerized units derived from acrylic acid and (ii) up to 10 weight % of polymerized units derived from one or more C3-C8 monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acids, based on the total weight of said polyacrylate polymer. A laundry formulation is also provided which contains the synergistic mixture in an amount of up to 2 weight %, based on the total weight of the laundry formulation. Also provided are methods of promoting soil release from soiled fabric which involve contacting the soiled fabric with an aqueous solution comprising the above-described inventive synergistic mixture or with the above-described laundry formulation.

  • Publication number: 20140041365
Abstract: A fuel reforming system, process, and device including a catalytic chamber and a heating chamber. The catalytic chamber, further including a fluid fuel intake and a gaseous fluid exit port and at least one heat exchanger for distributing heat between the heating chamber and the catalytic chamber. The catalytic chamber further including a screen member having a surface, wherein the member includes a catalytic deposit made from a combination of platinum and rhodium alloy. A catalytic conversion of converting liquid fuel to gaseous fuel occurs within the catalytic chamber. Fuel exits the fuel reforming device through a gaseous fluid exit port. In the process of phase change from liquid to gaseous phase, there is no change of chemical composition and C8H18 remains stable throughout, except for an increase in Enthalpy (heat content) per mol.
